Ir. Deddy Nugraha is a dedicated experienced fulltime trainer and technical consultant since 2002. He holds a B.S. degree in Mechanical Engineering from ITB, Bandung. He has worked nationally in a wide variety of industries including: technology, aerospace, utilities, auditing, mining and institutions thus engaged as a corporate consultant. He also holds certifications for those particular fields from Snecma, France; Engine Support Inc., USA; Danobat, Spain; DNV, Singapore; MTU, Germany and FAA Auditor, USA. DR. Ir. I Wayan Suweca has been a senior consulting engineer specialist for PT. TIMAH Tbk., PT. TAMBANG BATUBARA Bukit Asam, KONDUR Petroleum S.A., and PT. KAI whereas he’s involved in failure analysis of machineries and equipments’ design. Mr. Wayan also is a distinguished professor of mechanical engineering at ITB since 1987 and has conducted numerous short courses and seminars for various major oil companies such as PT. CALTEX Pacific Indonesia, PT. FREEPORT Indonesia as well as VICO.

His field of expertise includes mechanical design and drawing, stress analysis and computer aide MSC/Nastran finite element program, mining hydraulics, and vibrations control as well as maintenance management. Mr. Wayan received his Ph.D. in Mechanical Engineering from Ecole Centrale de Lyon, French in 1990.

The global objective of the course is:

DESKRIPSI

Pipeline atau perpipaan merupakan salah satu peralatan utama di dalam industri baik industri petrokimia, perminyakan, pertambangan dan lain-lain yang digunakan sebagai salah satu alat transportasi zat cair. Komponen utama perpipaan adalah  pomp dan jaringan pipa, sementara komponen-komponen bantu adalah katub-katub dan strainer (block valve, control valve, strainer, foot valve, dll), fiting (elbow, tee, reducer, inducer, dll) dan berbagai alat bantu lain yang diperlukan. Selain komponen utama dan bantu, perpipaan masih dilengkapi dengan beberapa instrumen misalnya instrumen alat ukur.

Kursus ini akan memberikan pengetahuan dan ketrampilan para peserta dalam bidang pemipaan. Dimana jenis pipa, penentuan diameter pipa, serta tekanan operasi akan dibahas. Disamping itu akan dijelaskan pula instrumentasi, meter dan aksesoris yang diperlukan. Pemipaan atau penempatan pipa di darat dan di laut, pengetesan kualitas pipa dan pemeliharaan, serta cara perlindungan dari korosi juga akan dibahas secara mendetail. DESCRIPTION

Design of oil pipelines and/or natural gas pipelines involve the application of mass, energy and force balances, material selection, line sizing, topography and elevation gradients, working pressure, pressure drop, and the related parameters such as erosional velocity, friction factor, flashing, condensation, corrosion, scaling, deposition, and multiphase flow problems. There is no a single approach to pipeline integrity. Mechanical, civil, chemical, metallurgical, unit operations and many other interrelated factors are the basis of the whole design.

This pipeline integrity design based on standards, codes and recommended practices, especially that of the API, ASME, ANSI, ASTM, NACE, and all good and common practices. Integrity of the pipeline must be considered from the beginning of the design, to assure that the line is able to operate without failure. The installed pipeline must be in the low risk category. Protection for anticipating internal and external damage must be included in calculation.

Pipeline failure may lead to disaster; fire, explosion, or poisoning. So that, safety is the most importance in pipeline. For that reason, safety considerations will be placed as the first in the pipeline integrity design.

SASARAN BELAJAR :

Setelah menyelesaikan kursus ini diharapkan peserta dapat :
* Memahami prinsip-prinsip dasar peningkatan perolehan reservoir minyak bumi dengan mempergunakan metoda EOR dan terutama sekali dengan metoda steam injection, termasuk uraian tentang model geologi dan reservoirnya.
* Melakukan perhitungan-perhitungan sederhana untuk optimisasi dan penentuan kinerja produksi sumur-sumur minyak bumi yang mengalami steam injection.

Course Objectives

Logs are the most universal technical documents on oil and gas wells. They impact the work of almost every oilfield group from geologist to drillers to banker. Familiarity with the purpose and applications of well logs is therefore essential. General principles of physics are used to explain the functions of modern logging tools and the potential impact of drilling conditions on the interpretation. Wherever possible, the physics of logging measurements is related to everyday tools and appliances. Participants develop an appreciation for the constraints and limitations of the borehole environments. Actual log example are related to basic principles in the description of reservoir properties, cross plotting and reconnaissance techniques the eyes of the part time log interpreter, discriminate between water, oil and gas, quickly and efficiently. Error minimization techniques and why they produce optimal results are demystified.

Objective

After participate in this course, you will be able and capable to:

Understand the basic principles of petroleum reservoir calculations associated with the use of gas-lift, sucker-rod, electric submersible, hydraulic and jet pump.
Perform a simple diagnosis and understand oil wells management data produced by, gas lift, sucker rod pumping, electric submersible, hydraulic and jet pump.
Create a simple analysis of the oil wells data, perform calculations pitting performance as a result of pumping with a variety of methods in accordance with state reservoir.
Conduct simple quantitative calculations and perform optimization for the production of oil wells that produced by gas lift, sucker rod pumping, electric submersible, hydraulic and jet pump in accordance with the limits of operation.
